Mr. Frédéric Pfirter, who has always considered leather to be a noble and lively material, founded Famaco in 1931 and launched his first line of leather care products - "Made in France" shoe polish. Famaco is still run by the Pfirter family and is headquartered in Châtillon near Paris, as well as a manufacturing plant.
